Patrick Hunter (b. 1642) was a chief of Clan Hunter.<ref name=":1">Scottish Clan Family Encyclopedia. Collins. pp. 172–173.</ref> Born in 1642<ref name=":0">"FamilySearch".</ref>, he became the 21st Chief on 27 June 1698.<ref name=":2">Shaw, M.S (1925). He married Marion Cunninghame of Longmuir in 1662, and had 7 children.
