The Ardrossan North Shed was a brick built 4 track straight dead-ended shed with a northlight pattern slate roof. It included a 42ft turntable, a coal stage and a water tank. Sometime after the turntable was enlarged to 51ft 4in.
Although the shed was closed in July 1931 it was used for locomotive storage.
It is unknown what date the shed was demolished.
